We were students not long ago. We remember what was broken.
Dear students,
Your marks depended on which teacher you got. So in 2020 we built what we wish we'd had.
This is our life's work.
Checks, because we wasted months guessing what to revise. Invigilated mocks, because the kitchen table teaches you nothing about the clock. Free consultations, because charging means students ask too late.
Come sit in a class. The first weeks are free.
See you in class,

Results that speak for themselves
Not luck. The same system, run for thousands of students, year after year.
Contour students achieve a 99+ ATAR

"The workshops changed everything. By October I'd sat the exam five times under real conditions, so the real one felt like the fifth, not the first."

Your tutor shouldn't be a lottery ticket. Ours all clear the same gates, every term.
We've turned away dozens of 99.95 ATARs and 50 raw scorers. Knowing it isn't the same as teaching it.
Five-day induction
Week 1Trained on the Contour pedagogy: how we teach, how we explain, how we run a room. Nobody improvises.
Shadowing week
Week 2In real classes beside an experienced tutor, learning the standard live.
The classroom assessment
QualificationAn internal assessment of one question: ready to lead a classroom? No pass, no class.
Reviewed regularly
OngoingStudent feedback, class results and observed lessons, for as long as they teach here.
Most tutoring sells hours. We built a system.
A class alone doesn't move a mark. Everything around it does. Everything on this page is part of it, and it's all included.
Learn it properly, from people who just did it
Every mark rehearsed before it counts
Never stuck for longer than one message
Subject selection, wellbeing, careers, parent updates: the support that has nothing to do with Methods, included free.
Everything you get, at a glance
Read it left to right. All of it is included for every student. Pick anything to see it up close below.
Comprehensive Resources
Stop hunting for notes. Everything the year demands, written in-house, matched to the study design, and included.
Personalised Support
You go home. The system keeps working: your portal, your tutor, your reports.
The workbook your tutor teaches from
A sick day never costs a week
Every page, on every device
Your whole program, in your pocket
A whole team on one student
Your choice of program
Choose the program that suits you: same workbooks, same resources, same price. Move any time, based on tutor recommendation.
Most students choose Mastery
Mastery
Where most students excel. Master every topic in the study design, with SAC and exam preparation front and centre.
More than tutoring: an academic partnership
This is what "partner" means once the class ends: the support that has nothing to do with Methods, and costs nothing extra. All included, free.
Where we tutor
Eight campuses across Melbourne, or the exact same classes live online. Same tutors, same resources, same results.

Your academic partners, in full
Contour is built by students, for students
We sat these exams not long ago, and we've spent every year since building the program we wish we'd had: the classes, the workbooks, the portal, all of it. It's had our whole working lives, and we hope that shows on every page of this one.
The rest is simple. One weekly fee, and a free week to see it for yourself.
Five hours a week. One weekly fee.
A 2-hour class, a 2-hour workshop, and the whole system around them. No enrolment fees, no surprises.
No credit card. If it's not right for you, walk away owing nothing.
Your week
Five hours a week, elsewhere
Try a full week, free. Then decide.
Not a taster lesson. Not a sales consult. A full week inside the real program, with the real tutors, real resources and real support. Then you decide.
Not right? Walk away, nothing owed. No card, no lock-in, no risk to your family.

About the program
How much does VCE Methods tutoring cost?
+
One weekly fee, shown once in the pricing section above, billed per term. It includes classes, workshops, all resources, mock exams, consultations and the text line. Nothing is sold separately.
How do classes work each week?
+
A 2-hour class that teaches ahead of school, then a 2-hour workshop where you practise under exam conditions. Both recorded, both included.
How does the free trial work?
+
Book in two minutes, experience your first week free, your class and your workshop, then decide with zero pressure. No payment details needed to trial.
Can I join mid-year and catch up?
+
Yes. Most students who join outside January start mid-term. You'll get a catch-up plan, recorded lessons for anything missed, and a consult to map the gap.
Is online the same as in-person?
+
Same tutors, same materials, live, not recordings. Workshops run with tutors in the room digitally. Some students prefer it, some don't. Trial both and pick.
Is a group really as good as 1-on-1?
+
For most students, small groups outperform 1-on-1: real peers to benchmark against, resources built properly once, and a room where everyone is trying. And unlimited 1-on-1 Consultations are included anyway, so it's not group or 1-on-1. You get both.
How will I see my progress?
+
Your marks, homework and mock results live on the Learning Portal, and your parents can see them too.
03
About Contour
Can I trial with a friend?
+
Yes, and if you both join, we'll try to place you in the same class. A third of Contour students joined with a friend.
Will it clash with school and co-curriculars?
+
Classes run across all seven days at most campuses, plus online. Pick times around training, music, work. And every class is recorded.
What happens if I miss a week?
+
Nothing is lost. Every Weekly Class and Weekly Workshop is recorded and uploaded the same night, your Weekly Workbook and Homework are waiting on the portal, and your tutor is one message away on the text line.
Can I join partway through the year?
+
Yes, any time. You start with a personalised catch-up plan, and your Dedicated Tutor tracks it until you're back at pace with the class.
How do the free 1-on-1 Consultations work?
+
Book a 15 or 30 minute video session with a tutor from the portal or the back of any booklet. Unlimited, included in the fee: a weak area, a practice exam, a revision plan, whatever you need.
What happens after the trial?
+
Love it? You continue seamlessly. Not for you? Walk away owing nothing: no card was taken, and nobody calls to talk you around.
The tutors are students, not qualified teachers. Why is that better?
+
For this specific job, recency beats tenure: someone who sat this exam in the last few years remembers what is genuinely hard and what the week before feels like. Then around 5% of applicants survive selection and the Tutor Academy before leading a class. The claim isn't that they're young. It's that they're recent, proven and vetted.
Aren't the results just selection?
+
No entrance exam, nobody turned away on results, and every figure is whole-cohort, never a selected sample. The trial diagnostic will tell you more about your child than our stats will.
My child doesn't want to.
+
That's exactly why the trial is free and obligation-free: let them feel it before anyone commits. What changes minds is almost always the room, peers who care as much as they do.
How the trial actually feels
